Re: RknRusty!! Got presents!
Thanks a lot Dudes.
As for flying, the only thing I'd need an engine for today is nose weight. 26mph, steady from the West. That's something I've always wanted to try but haven't done yet, wind flying. I bet my 7oz Baby Streak would do it.
Then again, maybe not today.

You never tried whip powered models?

OK, I only have tried one, and I am painting the other but the weather is against me lately.
Many happy returns!

No, Phil, never have. I do know if you can manage to launch it, a regular CL model will surf the wind pretty well. I'm sure it takes a lot of practice. I guess it's best to remove the prop.

Re: RknRusty!! Got presents!
Got a Lowes shopping trip planned.
I want one of the following: a ball end hex screwdriver set, or something to attach to my ancient Dremel that'll cut wood, or a new set of mechanic gloves. Or if I see something else I see that I need or want. Anything that's inexpensive, electric and cuts wood would be a really a nice birthday present. I'm tired of hand sawing.

Re: RknRusty!! Got presents!
I've been game for a nice scroll saw lately for my fine cutting needs. I never see a good one when i have money in my pocket. I might have to buy new.

I would suggest a scroll saw, but the new ones are not inexpensive.

Re: RknRusty!! Got presents!
I'm chillin', thanks guys. Having Champagne and chocolate cake for an appetizer and pancakes and bacon for supper. Right now I'm surfing for birthday presents. I'm going to spend about $140.
Now I want to ask, anyone familiar with Bondhus brand tools? They make an T-handle allen driver set at the HS, but I don't want to buy a ball end set that's shot after the first day. Also looking at scroll saws. That ought to wrap it up. I haven't seen one for less than $100.
