Re: WTB: Space Hopper Parts
Is the needle valve assy the same as a TD? I am thinking it is. The late TD NV should be silver in color
The hardest thing to find will be the venturi nut.

Me either, in fact I have never even seen a spring on a Hopper.
It may be correct if it was installed in some sort of RTF?

Re: WTB: Space Hopper Parts
No, it's an aftermarket spring starter, a company (don't remember name, i'll look it up tonite) made those for TD, Atwood, Cub, etc. in the 50's.
The Space Hopper was never a 'product' engine, only sold as a 'hobby' engine, like a Tee Dee. I got to look, but I think a Tee Dee needle assembly would work, with the only difference being the needle, the correct part would be off a Space Hopper with 'Bee' type needle.

The photo is from eBay, but last night I keep looking, thinking I had more...your post just reminded me, I think I actually have a old oil stained info sheet, i'll get'er scanned tonite.
Re: WTB: Space Hopper Parts
Are you going to run it? If so I would go with a Texas timers fine thread needle valve as long as your buying a needle assembly anyway.

In that case the other missing parts are a killer bee crank, #1 or #4 cylinder, and a bladder system!WingingIt74 wrote:I like to run everything I have.... So you can run it over 20k rpm and not shear the crank pin.WingingIt74 wrote:KB crank, why?

Re: WTB: Space Hopper Parts
Not a bad idea, since you are missing a few parts it would make an ideal hot rod hopper.

I would love to find a hopper with the wrong cylinder so I could hot rod it guilt free.Cribbs74 wrote:Not a bad idea, since you are missing a few parts it would make an ideal hot rod hopper.

Re: WTB: Space Hopper Parts
Are this the venturi nut you are looking for? Sorry if I've got it wrong.

No problem that one is for a .15, a space hopper is a .049.
