Modified cylinder? Empty Modified cylinder?

Post  G.O. Stang Tue Jan 07, 2014 1:46 am

I got this cylinder on an engine I got off eBay. It appears to be a normal thicker wall cylinder with milled top fin, until you look closer. The top fin isn't oxided where it was milled. Also, it used to be a slit exhaust cylinder but the bar has been milled out(leaving small bits sticking off at both sides of each exhaust port). Also boost ports have been milled in but don't appear to be original to the cylinder either. It doesn't appear to have spi but it is dual bypass. Any ideas on what it is?

Most likely was a dual slit unmilled top fin cylinder and someone spent some time making it into a modern sure start cylinder.
