The traveling everything
I took a few moments (actually about an hour) to review the header "Stickies" which contain two of the most interesting threads I have ever read "The Traveling Engine" and "The Traveling Prop."
I reviewed the "Engine" thread first including Jason's find of the "Encased in Carbonite" TD which was used in the event, then read every post, saw every picture, and video that related to it's travels to date.
I was impressed by the thought and care that went into the preparation and packing of the engine and associated documentation and spares that were included. Wow. No corners were cut there.
Then I read Kim’s review and watched his fantastic video complete with sound and panning camera. This is going to be great I thought, and I wasn’t disappointed.
Weather delays and new babies slowed things down a bit, but Spring saw Rusty’s flight, then pictures on river banks, as hood ornaments on old Chevys, different poses positioned on stacked Cox wrenches and Ron’s flight on his Baby Clown” and more.
I’m still looking at “The Traveling Prop.” Lot’s to go over there but I immediately found Kim’s post with the TP mounted on a vintage Cox engine and another great flight. I still have pages to go on that one, but I just wanted to thank everyone involved for your effort in bringing these threads to life and for providing me and many others with inspiration and ideas.
