I will be entering a TD and a Stock PeeWee.
When is the best time to send the engines?

Thanks Matt! Just about anytime (probably on the other side of the holidays, but it's up to you) between now and the Race. I've got no traveling plans before the Race, so I can be home to wait for them. If possible, please shoot me a note to let me know when it's on it's way.
Thanks Again!

I'd think that it would be the same both ways, but if it is a bit more getting it back to you, that's no problem...I'll cover it and get back to you if it's worth messing with.

We'll be using Bernie's new 4x2.5 racing Props for both Pee Wee and .020 Unlimited.

I was going to enter unlimited but I've been down with pneumonia for 3 weeks and haven't had the energy to work on my project. Do I still have time? Anyway I hope everyone is having a wonderful cox filled Christmas today!!!! (Bandit)

Man, sorry to hear you got hit like that! The Race is scheduled for the 24th of January, so I'd think you ought to have plenty of time to box-up that sucker.
Hope you're well on the mend...only had one brush with pneumonia a decade or so ago, and it shut me down for a long time.
Merry Christmas !!!

Check your tach against a incandescent bulb and it should read a solid 3600

I'm not completely over it but thankfully I'm feeling better now thank you And about the race I'm not sure I'll make the dead line I still have to order a few more parts which I've neglected to do due to me being down and out it's gonna depend on how fast the parts get here and if I have time to get a good break-in and some test n tuning done "crosses fingers" (Bandit)Kim wrote:Man, sorry to hear you got hit like that! Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Well, I've finally got my Mouse entry assembled, utilizing the wealth of knowledge and handy hints out there. Not much else I can do without spending money.
Haven't had a chance to test & tach it yet. I'm sure it will need a few cycles to get the new cylinder broken in, but hopefully Kim can count me as a starter, assuming the postal service co-operates & I can make it over there on time. I may include a Stock for the heck of it. Looks like testing will have to be New Year's Day. Won't that excite the neighbours?
Rod.

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Thanks Guys!
So far, I'm tallying
13 Contestants with:
11 Unlimited,
6 Mouse (including 2 'maybes'),
5 Tee Dees,
4 Babe Bees,
Only 1 .020 Unlimited so far,
3 Pee Wees.
Gonna recheck my numbers after some more coffee, but I think this is correct.
We've also got Matt and Bernie's support engines, whose categories will be announced, and they are once again generously supporting Tach Race with Donated Prizes.
Haven't from some of our other regular Heavy-hitters like Jason and Doug, but figure they'll be checking in at some point.
That's where we are at the moment.

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Question, how long do I have to send in my engine for the tach race? The reason I'm asking is it's been rain, rain and more rain for the last week so I haven't had the opportunity to break-in and test my engine project as of yet. I hope I have enough time.

Bandit I'm not far from where you are, and it usually only takes me two days to get packages from here to Missouri. I haven't started on my tach race engine(s) yet either. Worst case, I'll throw something in a box and send it.

Yeah that's probably what I'm gonna end up doing "throwing it in a box and shipping it" if this rain don't let up plus the fog is so thick that you can slice it up and eat it like a sandwich! Hows tha weather up your way BTW Rusty? (Bandit)RknRusty wrote:Bandit I'm not far from where you are, and it usually only takes me two days to get packages from here to Missouri. Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Pouring rain right now. Been drizzling all day. Except for a clear blue Christmas day, this is what we've had since the holiday season started. I'm ready for some flying weather. I think it's supposed to get cold this coming week too.TDbandit wrote:Yeah that's probably what I'm gonna end up doing "throwing it in a box and shipping it" if this rain don't let up plus the fog is so thick that you can slice it up and eat it like a sandwich!
