Forum changes
A shout out to Jacob for extending the "Latest Topics" column and for cleaning up the Home Page Forum sections, thanks!
Re: Forum changes
Yes, second that.
I usually review the Latest Topics list every morning and read most of them. After a few more years of reviewing them I may be as informed as the rest of you.

Re: Forum changes
Yeah, you have to credit Mark some here. He made the suggestions.
The forum needed some updating and refreshing for the new year. I'll be sorting out topics for awhile so if anyone's having trouble finding a topic, use the search feature or ask me as it could've been moved.

Re: Forum changes
I'm often struggling to find topics as soon as they fall off the latest topics list...
A longer list would be welcome or an ability to click on the title (for instance) and get a substantially longer list would work too.

Re: Forum changes
There is a link at the top of the forum that says "View posts since last visit" that you can click on.
I can work on trying to make a Latest Topics page, not sure if I can.

Re: Forum changes
That's the URL I keep my Chrome and Firefox browsers' speed dials set to.
Also on a full size browser, after viewing, and especially after posting, click and hold the back button and a dropdown list will include "Advanced search." Click that and it will return you directly to and refresh the recent posts list. If you've done any other searches(i.e: "My Posts" or "Unanswered posts", etc.), they will also be called "Advanced search," so be sure and click the most recent one.
That little knowledge makes navigating CEF much quicker.

Re: Forum changes
The "view posts since the last visit" is not very useful to me as it is "immediately" updated.
It is saturday morning here now and I'm sure there are many new interesting things to read, but since I have now already posted in this thread there are no other ones listed in the "view posts since the last visit"...
So to me the the "latest topics" list is very practical, it is just a little too short...

Re: Forum changes
I am confused here. I find that topics I have not read have the little symbol on the left automatically highlighted in red. The red doesn't disappear until I have selected the topic. Even if I log in and out again.

Re: Forum changes
Thanks Jacob for extending the Latest Topics. If it were not for that list, I wouldn't read the forum nearly as much. It makes it easy to stay updated with followed threads. If you ever found a way to extend it further I'd be all for it.

Re: Forum changes
I spent a few hours on a More Latest Topics page. Wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I'll still be working on it, may even scrap it for something else.
