Off Topic Chance-Vought F7U Cutlass
Has anyone seen this kit by Sure Flite Products - Chance-Vought F7U Cutlass. I can be powered or a slope plane. I purchased it in the 1980's when working for General Dynamics at Point Mugu on a Navy project from one of the local hobby shops. The build instructions were missing and I have not been able to locate them in the 35 years since. It has a 34 inch wingspan foam core wing and built up balsa everywhere else. I could probably guess at most of the details, but I would like to know the CG at least. My plan was to build the plane at night while working up in the area 5 to 6 days a week. The work schedule became too demanding working late at night, all day the next day, and so on, so I never had a chance to start the kit without instructions.
Any help would be appreciated. I have tried to follow up on Sure Flite Products without success.

HD,
I found this eBay sale:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seguro-de-Flite-productos-f7u-Cutlass-power-slope-R-c-avion-Vintage-Kit-Nuevo-/391210409895?_ul=AR&nma=true&si=U%252F%252FZbo0vPputbbJuUdGFTA3XyuI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
and the following pics
Maybe it would be better to download them directly from the eBay page, I don't know. I hope those pictures help a bit.

happydad, I took Lieven's E-Bay link, downloaded the E-Bay photos. Then I corrected the perspective on the main instruction sheet by using Gimp photo editor. When enlarged, one can still make out the text, which should be readable enough, thanks to Lieven's research in finding the link.
I have renamed and stored them all in my Google Drive as a zip file:

OMGosh Lieven how do I get my kit sold on that website? $115USD WOW. With instructions of course.
I really don't know what to say except thank you for your help. I want to build this A7 myself. As a Slope Glider of course. I had no idea it was worth so much.
Thanks to you and Galloping for your help.

Me too
OVERLORD wrote:Looking forward to the build and to seeing it fly!!
Me too Lieven. It may be some time before I am able to climb a local hill in the area to try slope soaring again. I had 1 hip replaced in late July, but still need the other hip done as soon as I am able too. My wife is not agreeing at this point. She helped me a lot while I was in the hospital and in rehabilitation for rebuilding the muscles that were cut and reattached. Some were moved, like spread apart, stretched, but some were cut. So they had to heal and be built up again. My biggest problem is not the replaced hip, but the hip that needs replacing. My goal is to try to make the short climb before Christmas. The weather here is usually mild during November and December, but we will have a litle rain this coming week. I hope not too much.
Thanks for all the help.

A Funny Thing happened on the way to the Forum
A Funny Thing happened on the way to the Forum, (cleaning out the garage). I came across a set of airplane drawings I never knew I had.
Here it comes.... Something happens when you get old..., But I can't remember what it is. anonymous.
I actually came across several drawing-instructions to planes I didn't remember I had. 1 was the Cutlass drawing, full size, I searched for here and you all helped me with pics of the pieces.
Sorry the pic is a little out of focus, but the house is full of baking stuff and no room for drawings.
Will fix soon.
I also found a full size drawing of the Aquila glider, 2 pages, if anyone is interested please PM me. If not it goes on ebay this weekend.
Aquila Glider
I also found the drawing-instructions for the Dumas Short Stuff .049 size wood boat I built in the early 1980's when I stayed at Pt. Mugu Naval Test Station near the water.
happydad imagine an RC boat here
