An admin needs to approve you ... THEN you can log in. I did the same as you, but 6 months ago..... I'm still waiting. Someone is asleep at the controls over there ...

Thanks Larry. I have a bunch of the kits and love to build them. I thought it would be fun to join that forum, but if you have been waiting 6 months I think I'm out of luck. Thanks again.

I think you mean, https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/guillowsbuilders/info, no?akjgardner wrote:I created a username and password for the Guillows Builders Forum but was unable to logon. can someone help ?
Admin approved 2 applicants on 07-Nov-2015, glhunt47a and juanunix. Someone is home, I'd give it a couple days. Things have been slow in Yahoo Groups. More are going to social media like Facebook. Last posts were 10-Sep-2015.
Ever since they did away with the easier to read Usenet style thread interface like other forums, navigating messages has been tough.
Another group you may want to consider is https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/cometmodelairplanes/info. Last posts were 29-Oct-2015.
This group was fairly active until last year. With posts a year old, looks like they are dying. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/guillowsmodelbuilders/info

No contact info on the forum, you'll have to contact them through their site. http://www.guillow.com/contact-us.aspx
I see they're running a version of this software. If you didn't get an email with a link to activate your account, they likely have it set so the administrator has to approve and activate accounts. Looks like they're hosting it themselves but when Forumotion updated the software here, they reset a few settings and made it where I would need to activate accounts myself. I didn't notice it for a week or two until someone sent me a message wondering why they couldn't log in. I have it set back now where the user is sent a confirmation email with a activation link.
