Cox Engine of The Month

eBay Score
A little while back I was looking at eBay to see what Cox engines were on there. I found a listing with 6 dirty old engines, 4 Cox and 2 others. One of the Cox's, buried in layers of goo, was a Space Bug Jr. that looked like it might be decent. Just for the fun of it I threw out a bid knowing full well I'd be massively outbid at the end of the auction. To my complete surprise there were no more bids - I won it! So I ended up with this nearly flawless Space Bug Jr. that has the original three piece piston and cylinder/head with smaller diameter threads. A first for me so I'm pretty excited about it.
I carefully did a light cleaning because I didn't want to risk damaging anything but it probably could be made to look a little better. I got another really nice Cox engine out of this too, plus some good parts engines.

Well done. I dream of finding junk engines that turn out to be treasures. Hopefully your glow head still works. Are you going to run it?
