I have not seen that picture before Mark, but it is very nicely done and presented.  Lot's of good stuff there, I looked at every piece magnified.

I have almost all of them, but not in that condition, I tend to buy the slighty or mostly over-the-hill stuff.

That thread brings back memories. I wrote:

I feel zero regret at missing it.  I looked at each engine and came up with a value less than my $4100 bid.  While I hoped that I would win it, now I feel pretty sure that the collection will not be broken up and sold individually.

Those that follow my posts know that I have a certain regard for the previous owners of my restorations, rebuilding them as the original owner/builder imagined.  I would have done the same for this fellows effort.

Some were just a bag of sticks, others just needed a tail section, all were gratifying.

It also crossed my mind that there is a "Works" Mini for sale here locally for $2500, leaves $1700 in the kitty for miscellaneous needs.

Said then.  Now I have super regrets. You can find Mini's anywhere, but not that collection.  Wish I had bought it regardless of the price.  It would still be intact now.

That was Bill's Fox engine case. They were really cool and it came apart. Bill would travel with those cases and he would bring them out to the swap meets and other events. I would talk to him for hours. One of Bill's engines was the large shaft Combat .15 BB. He had that engine separately from the other Fox's. Quite a rare engine and just neat to see.  He had a very neat OK Cub collection as well and he had some very interesting pieces. After seeing them and hearing what he had to say about them, it peaked my interest. For years and years I sadly passed them up. My son was gifted a .049 which Bill identified as one of the first versions. It ran spectacular. In fact it ran so good, it flew out of sight taking my newly built Dakota with it. That upset me as I never found the model. My son and I started our own collection of OK engines. Nothing like Mark Boesen's collection but neat nonetheless. I have a few of the .29's and .35's.
