Yeah, Matt and I made a video where we forgot to pull the clip too. I like your test stand. Those APC props are great for showing off aren't they.

Re: Tapered case diva.
That's a nice picture.
I'm thinking that is a TD 6x3 or 5x3 Grey.
I have accidentally left to clip on a few times too. The engine seems to run better.

Good eye Matt, it is indeed a Cox grey 6-3.microflitedude wrote:That's a nice picture.

Had to go check, the prop was still on it.

Re: Tapered case diva.
Bob,
You have some of the nicest, cleanest engines I have seen. I remember a while back, you said how you valued your Tim Wilste parts, I know what you mean. I have a couple of his cases and one case/crankshaft assembly. As much as I would enjoy running them I can't bring myself to do it. At least not yet.

Hey, even with all the sophisticated stuff we play with these days, there's still plenty of beauty in a Bee. Can't forget our roots.dckrsn wrote:Yeah, thanks Rusty and Matt.

I've never run the case assemblies I have.....yet.
I have run engines with his spinners, and they are
a thing of beauty.
Wiltse case and spinner.

Re: Tapered case diva.
Someone needs to get the needle point spinners back on the shelves,,they just look right for a .049.

Re: Tapered case diva.
Absolutely. The only spinner I have like that is now on the RR1 on my Li'l Satan. The best thing about them is you can use a stud that threads all the way into the .049 crankshaft. That's the best way to avoid breaking the splines off of them when you've got them spinning up in the high RPM range.PV Pilot wrote:Someone needs to get the needle point spinners back on the shelves,,they just look right for a .049.

Hmm, machining spinners would definitely be cheaper than creating molds...
