A TD .049/.051 was made by Cox or Estes?
Is it the presence or absence of a venturi screen?
Thanks,
SD

Dave, the intake screen was mid '70's way before the Estes takeover. The only real way to tell is box date or lack of anodizing I think.

Thanks once again Ron.
I have TD .049's and TD .051's both with and without venturi screens and they all seems to perform fine. The one I'm saving as a "collectior" is a NIB TD .049 "jewel case" that I got direct from Paul Gibeault. It checks out with a verified '73 production in Santa Ana, CA and has a venturi screen.
The others I'm not sure incuding the TD .051 that got though you in California. It does not have a venturi screen. This is the one that hauls my BRM and makes me dizzy if I'm not careful.
