It is hard to find out what pleases the CEF members but certainly not what I have been trying to compete with...I give up for good.. Sad

(do not even think of dropping a vote for consolation!!!!)

If I had another vote available I would. Everyone who enters deserves some credit for making the effort. I think your photo just made me envious because you have so many nice Tee Dees and I have none Sad

Oh come on now! There's always next time, you know only one picture can win per month. If you give up, you'll never win. It's a nice picture, it follows all the rules and I do believe it deserves some votes. If only we could get some MORE MEMBERS to vote, we only had 29 votes so far yet more than 50 members regularly sign in each day.

... and I exhausted all my possibilities with that one picture. I don't have any other engines to submit!

Well, I do ... a Sure-Start (no one wants to see that) ... and some pieces of very old 70's .049's (not worth a darn)

Well.......you could have voted for yourself! You did like the picture you submitted, didn't you?? Huh...

We have had a variety of engines that have won in the past. The only link is that they've all been Cox engines. Like Jacob said, if you don't enter.....you Laughing

can't win.

PS: kill two birds with one stone: Get more members, print out some of the CEF flyers, sign up more members in your area, and get them to vote!!

Thanks for the advice Marleysky, I appreciate it.

Unfortunately in my part of the world the COX engines are not known to such an extent that would recruit new CEF members, let alone voters for my submissions. I prefer spontaneous and true votes and would not vote for myself. (This I guess is also banned by the contest rules).

A practical suggestion for the subsequent Cox-Engine-of-the Month contests: the titles should preferably not be removed from the pictures as these may be best valued in context of the titles. When voters cast their ballots they only see the photos stripped of their titles thus the submissions may lose some of their strengths.

Good luck for you all for the contests in the future.

This is exactly the point..I was wondering if it is right to provoke the voters with a bunch of those rare engines as seeing them possessed by an outsider of the very CEF community would incite negative sentiments rather than objective evaluation...I know the title was not a blockbuster but having removed that from the picture it really does not look more than a boasting submission.

Anyways, that was my swan's song as said...
