That's great Peter. I hope you got that engine for a reasonably price. Those engines equipped the Graupner Middle Stick.

Re: OS graupner wankel 1-49
Nice!
I have 4 of these. I have one to restore yet. Usually new apex seal springs bring these back to life. The last parts one may not be salvageable. The bearing is out and it may have scored the side cover. I had to get it apart yet.
They are sure are thirsty though.

Yes.. I've been told that the Wankel IC design is quite inefficient.. yet very powerful for the weight-savings.
I read JasonWIs' comment as having X1 as a non-runner..
Re: OS graupner wankel 1-49
i count atleast 2 non runners
one with broken apex seals one with broken bearings
as for size to power
i was kind of amazed at how small these engines are for a 4.9cc

Here is a linc to a video of a guy cleaning and reassembling a rotaty engine. i had read some where that these engines are next to impossible to tear down and reassemble correctly to get them to run. According to the post this one is for sale on e bay.

I would guess you are right! After watching that video, it’s just a mater of using proper tools and assembling pieces in the correct sequence. I know I can strip and rebuild a Cox 049 BB or TD no problem, as I have plenty of experience. Never having disassembled a OS Wankel Rotary, I would be somewhat hesitant with out having watched the video !
