Your guess is as good as mine OB. Ten cents worth of plastic and I guess an electric motor. It's missing one half of the elevator and the canopy, both of which I can replicate. Old NiCad power I would think, but maybe lipo of which I have a selection.
Got your shot yet? So you get your shot, and the shot police say nothing has changed. Still wear a mask, social distance yada, yada.

Sorry I cannot help with the parts needed, but I will definately be watching the rebuild thread. You do those very well, and are very enjoyable.

Lest we forget the Cox Electro Charger planes,,that charged up on a old school 6v lantern battery.
Bent 2/56 copper rod inside of those Electro Charger fuselages, to make the battery to motor connections. No insulated wire whatsoever, except on the armature of the motor. I restored a Cox Electro Charger P-51 Fireball. Carefully split the fuselage with a hobby knife, replaced the rotten factory nicad with a small 2 cell lipo pillow pack. Had the decals reprinted locally. Cleaned up the copper rods with white vinegar. Added a carbon fiber rod in the recess of the wing. Put it back together. After a charge, it wanted to leap off the table when turned on. I never flew it, it was to old and brittle'y for that kind of power,,lol.

Pretty nifty PVP, I would have liked to see that.
Looks like the combat guys had wires from their belts up to the handle. Had to be conductive leads, and very light.
My Son's foam T-38 uses a very light lipo charged from a 4 AA cell charger that sustains it for around five minutes of actual flight. I crashed the thing nose first into asphalt, fixed it up and flew it again.
I still have things to repair, haven't touched them since last summer.
The new one may just wind up hung from the ceiling. I like that U.S. NAVY thing.

Bought one of the Hobbyzone Champ RTF's that charged micro lipo's on a DC charger. About 5 minute flights as well. Very subtle little plane. No wind allowed, or say goodbye to it. No ailerons. A big gust caught it and took it across the river I live next to. Had to do some driving to go get it. A school gymnasium aircraft. If you pulled the landing gear off it flew much better, but didn't look like a Aeronca Champ then.
