I have a theory about this............
A few days ago my son sent me a link to this ebay auction. I found it interesting so a made a modest proxy bid despite not really wanting it. It's the product of someone elses imagination and construction, not mine. It's something that I will never "own", just possess and will wind up on a shelf somewhere.
Conversely, we do own the things that we imagine and put together by our own hands like many if not all of us here on the forum. Be it from a kit or scratch built we "own" it.
"Plastic is nice, but Balsa fly's better."
Anyway, I was over-bid, thought about it and made a more serious proxy bid of $102.50 thinking if there was a sniper they would bid something like $100.00. I was close, they bid $100.02 pushing my bid up to the max. Not a problem, all's fair in love, war, and sniping.
This is rather neat, and something that I have not seen before.

Re: I have a theory about this............
I think what I was trying to say in that jumbled mess I wrote above.
That if you build it yourself with your own hands and creative thought, you own it. Anything else you just use or possess it. Happy that members of this forum "own". I'm always impressed by the things that you people turn out and report on.
Thanks for that Levent, I did not see it. For me, just another expensive shelf sitter. This one will at least need some cleaning and I think there is a part missing.

Thanks roddie, looks like it's O-ring belt driven. When I get it I will look back on these pictures to determine the missing part. I might even tether it and run it around a bit before I clean it. I still have the base left from running my Cox Mercedes.

Levent, thanks for posting that Turkish magazine cover. It goes to show that no matter what part of the world we are from, we are all no different. We saw similar in our U.S. magazines. To catch the young man's eyes (for another magazine sale), a pretty young woman posing in that go-cart is all it takes.
As Ken Willard used to say in his RCM (Radio Control Modeler) column,
"Somewhere in that photo is an airplane."

I remember those RCM covers, it pained me to throw them all away when we moved.
But it persists, just check your internet feed home page..
