Check for a good gasket seal on the rear of the tank. I had a bad seal once and because of the proximity of the gasket to the fuel pickup nipple it tends to draw air into the fuel line.
Same symptoms you are having.
Thanks! Will Do. Ought to be able to look at it this afternoon!
AND...what might be an even BETTER idea...PUT a GASKET in it to begin with !!! Man...time to load up the Train for three-day get-away.
I hereby resign any former "Wiz" status that might have been over-generously bestowed upon me !!!!

Yep...and I'd love to blame it on my age, but I remember being called 'scatterbrained" when I was a kid, my 'raging hormones' being blamed when I was a teenager, 'job stress' getting tagged through middle-age, and now as I grow older, 'getting senile' is the reason!
So, in some ways, I haven't really changed at all...just my the names of my excuses !

Kim: to use a quote from the 21st century popular on the west coast: "WHATEVER". LOVL, (very loud)
p.s i don't know if you have followed the Medallion .051?? discussion, but engine049 sent me an official nffs .051 piston to check against a "TD .051" engine i bought on ebay which in fact was a Medallion .051 with unmarked piston, no groove, and ground #2 cylinder for exhaust sleeve. i measured the piston in my medallion and it was .4095inch o.d. i measured the nffs .051 piston, it was .4095inch o.d. and for the coup-de-gras the nffs piston fit my medallion cylinder perfectly. there was magic in the air. so i am now very happydad
FOREVER

Well, as George Peppard's charactor used to say in the old "A Team" series, "I love it when a plan comes together!"

Spook .049
And sometimes, you're too lazy to clean anything, and just want to make something run:
I didn't do much to my little Ebay Spook...just blew out the spraybar, and peeked inside the backside. The reed looked brand new so, other than a new case gasket, it was just bolted back together, and mounted on a stand.
The old glowplug worked, so I installed a black 6-3 prop to it (because the 6-3 was handy), filled the tank with Sig 15% (because it was closest), and cranked 'er up.
It took a few tries to get the goop out of it, and it then ran up to the low-mid 12's...probably for the first time in a few years. It happily ran out a couple tanks, so it gets oiled and moved to "On Duty Status".
Now...back to that pesky Tee Dee .010....
