They have had 44 posts in the last 7 days and we have had over 100 so I guess we are more active.

Hello,
The 049 Collectors group, is a yahoo group web site I put together as a means to gather photos and data of all the plastic gas powered airplanes made and 1/2a engines from early fifties to mid eighties. In the last 8-9 years I've collected and posted 3000+ photos. It's also a forum with a small, but great group of guys.

I have seen your group before, I haven't joined yet. I'll join it soon! Make sure to check out the gallery, there are a bunch of pictures in there!
I made this forum about a year ago. I made it so anyone could come on and ask questions about their engine (won't start, when was my golden bee made, etc...) and also a place to gather information about Cox engines.

Re: this a real rr1?
Thank you for making this place Jacob it is a great place to discuss cox engines and now it is one of the most if not the most active forum for cox engines. Whenever I go on line there is a least one other person on.Admin wrote:I have seen your group before, I haven't joined yet. I'll join it soon! Hi all,
Marks 049 Collectors Forum has been around for many years and covers all 049s not just Cox.
There are literally 100s of pics of engines and models from many manufacturers and Mark has set the photos up into groups so it is easy to find what you are looking for.
There are also 1000's of messages going back though the years which you can search on to find discussions on things like RR1s, Venoms and Cox History in general.
In my opinion it is well worth a look.
Other places you might like to check out are:
Cheers

Good Morning All!
I say "Ditto" to Warren's post on the .049 Collectors Group. I don't see it at all as competition for this forum...just additional great info...like extra pages in your favorite magazine. As Warren said, Mark has worked hard to gather tons of wonderful stuff from across all brands of engines and planes, and also provides space for us to post photos of projects not directly associated with RTF's.
While Cox engines are by far my favorite, I've discovered (and purchased) other brands that I didn't know existed, and they are wonderful to run or fly. Along with this, there are plenty of great guys with tech advice for these engines. I like to say that I just THOUGHT I knew stuff about Cox engines before joining Mark's group...but was just scraping the edge. Their friendship and assistance has really made my shop come alive over the past three years that I've been a member.
It's free to join also, so check it out if you're in the mood.

Do you have to be a Yahoo! member?
Re: this a real rr1?
Not sure how that works..I was already using Yahoo when my friend Kirt at http://www.airplanesandrockets.com recommended the their site. Probably wouldn't hurt to give it a shot and see what happens.
