This plan appeared today on Outerzone. It's a 14" span 049 racer for TD or Bee engines.

That reminds me of the time my dad was looking at a Breezy homebuilt airplane with little in the way of aesthetics, when next to it was a well built, polished aluminum Midget Mustang racer with flowing fairings and elegant wheelpants and he remarked that it took the same time to build either of them. I couldn't get turned on by it enough to build. It has a large percentage stab so it should be a good flyer, most Tom Jolly racers are very good performers. But ugly.

Howdy! I took a look and the plan and I like it! To the moderators: Would this plane be allowed in the "Profile Scale Speed Reed Event"?

I'll forward your question to Jim (JPvelo).

Jim,

Profile Scale is for scale models only, the idea being that competitors design their own models.

Okee dokee!! Very Happy I seem to have misplaced the thread for the competition i.e. who has entered, who has flown and the deadline for the new build entries and deadline for final flights. I keep getting connected to what happened in 2013 and 2014 Huh...

Misplaced thread? Looking for a needle valve in a haystack? I get there by clicking on the "profile scale reed speed contest" (contest discussion) button on the LEFT hand side of the (this) web page. Once there scroll ahead to page 45, or 50 to get to the current 2015 discussion. I've got the balsa, I've got the glue, I've got a couple of reed engines that I think will run. I've got good intentions to build a scale version of something, but just haven't had the inspiration jump off the page...yet. Having to much fun reading about others and their exploits.

They may take the same amount of time to build, but the Breezy has 10X the cool factor.
