RE:question about different cox engines
You could try Cox Model Engine Handbook,by Tim Dannels and Dan Sitter,it comes up on Ebay now and then-covers alot, well printed book,35.00.IT does'nt cover an RTF section, but has dates on engine Mfg.akjgardner wrote:does anyone know if there is a book I can buy that has all the different cox engines and a description of each of them ? Re: question about diifferent cox engines
Hi guys, I've just come across this thread, started looking for one of these great books and found one on eBay ( of course ) for $35.. but the seller is quoting $34 to post it out of the US! Had to look at it two or three times to believe it...is that REALLY what it would cost?!
And I thought posting to the US from England was expensive!! Ah well, maybe I'll find one here one day.
Cheers, Rob

Re: question about diifferent cox engines
Rob, the postage for a normal size book should be around $15, the rest of it is probably eBay fees or the seller wants something extra for the effort to ship overseas.

Re: question about diifferent cox engines
Hi Kari,
yeah that's what I thought, too. I don't mind expense too much, heaven knows I've sometimes paid waaaay too much for an engine just cos I HAD to have it, it's poor value for money that gets me...and paying as much postage as product is pretty poor value for money , I reckon.
Ps, Kari, my wee PeeWee is looking real sharp now, just a pity I forgot to take any 'before' pics. Thanks for finding those parts for me.
Cheers, Rob

Re: question about diifferent cox engines
Sure thing...I'll get some posted soon...but I can't claim any real credit, it's not exactly a 'restoration', as such--- more a 'new-parts-for-old' rebuild, so it looks exactly like any other near-new PeeWee I've ever seen!!
Now where's my camera...
Cheers, Rob
