Re: What in heck are greenness and reddies?.
It is a way to rate individual posts and calculate reputation. It's basically just for fun. Unless its obvious (someone giving bad advice, being rude, going way off topic...), many times a red negative "-" vote was given because it was bumped by accident.
FAQ wrote:Reputation is calculated each time someone hits the "+" or "-" that is along the right side of your posts and when someone hits the "Thanks" button. If you post something that people found to be helpful, funny or nice, they will likely click on the "+" which depending on which forum the topic is posted it, you will score between 1 to 15 rep points. A green bar next to your post will be displayed. If you post something negative, rude or a bad idea, someone may click the "-" which depending on the forum the topic is in, will deduct between 1-15 rep points. A red bar will be displayed next to your post. Sometimes the "-" is hit by accident and however hit it will usually post an apology about it. The thanks button is displayed to the original topic poster, if they click the "Thanks" button on one of your posts, you will receive between 3-30 rep points.
