Not sure what year this kit was made, But I know I had one in either 1968 or 1969. Flew the wings off of it on very short lines, in the cul de sac we lived on. Once, I started the motor with my brother on the handle and let it go. Almost immediately after standing up, the plane center punched me in the back, knocking me flat on my face! I was lucky to find this awesome example of plane and engine, enjoy!

I LOVE THAT! I was 9 years old in 1969. What a great-looking model-airplane!

I would have voted for the Duralum plane. I have that exact plane. It flew!

Jeezzus Bill wake UP!! even I would have voted for that instead of my own entry
Please start another thread with a LOT of photos of that plane...I think I can do a decent job of morphing one of my (in head) bashs and come up with a similar shiny aluminum finish

Re: **VOTE-ON-THE-NEXT-COX-ENGINE-OF-THE-MONTH** (April 2017)
Thank you gents, was a modification I had been wanting to do for many
years with a RC carb, what a sweetie of a engine for the right plane.
cheers to all
Thank you very much for those who voted for the conversion project!!!
Thank you Matt from Ex Model Engines who saved the day with the special 11/64-40 threaded die!!!
There are some quality engine photos this time around and some nice plane pics too.
- Perhaps a plane of the month contest poll could be parked under the engine of the
month poll. A great chance to show off finished project builds restorations and precious
planes saved from the past. Required power a Cox engine of course!

Re: **VOTE-ON-THE-NEXT-COX-ENGINE-OF-THE-MONTH** (April 2017)
Yes a very cool winner ----- Congrats, I almost voted for it my self
Thanks to the other two members who voted for mine!
I am up for the idea of an add on monthly "Cox" Powered Airplane, Car, Boat, Rag, Rocket*, Helicopter, Toy, "Model" of the month .... no prizes needed... Bernie and Matt are already very generous
* Yes Virginia I saw a Estes Rocket one time with a PeeWee 20 on the nose... launched just like it was impuls motor powered
Large fins canted to counter the Porp torque.... went close to straight up....was pretty cool to watch

Re: **VOTE-ON-THE-NEXT-COX-ENGINE-OF-THE-MONTH** (April 2017)
Opinions and elbows, just about everybody's got one or two...
I've always like the idea of 'Picture of the month' where it could be a engine, plane, or anything related to the group. Composition, focus, lighting, background, etc., would be the key, more of the photo and not the subject.
