COX MISS AMERICA P51D .049 ENGINE
COX MISS AMERICA P51D .049 ENGINE
I have this cox model airplane with the box dated 1990. The box isnt in perfect condition but it appears the plane has never been removed or the box open. It appears the wheels and struts might be in the side panels of the box but I dont want to open it if it deters the value. The .049 engine is mounted in the fuseslage with a 3 bladed plastic prop. There is another similiar engine with a 2 blade plastic prop loose in the box. The plastic box cover is pulled back so you can reach inside the box. Dont know anything about it. Maybe someone has some info on it for me. Im located in central california and will probably end up selling it. thanks for any feedback...jimt3

Jim,
Wow, I can't believe no one has replied.
If you're going to sell it, troll ebay and get an
idea of what the market value might be.
Pictures are a big plus when you offer it, and
the longer you spend researching, the better.
You can also post it for sale here, or just send
it to me, and I'll be your best friend.
OPTION #4
Hang around here for a while and learn how to
start and fly that bird.
Welcome to the forum.

Sorry, my bad. i said “can post “ and ment to type “can’t post “ untill you have reached so many posts. You will be able to soon we hope. In the mean time here is a couple of Miss America that sold on e bay. The 325$ one is a early version NIB
Sorta curious as to what the “extra “ engine in the box might be? RR-1, TD 010?

cox miss america
the extra engine was not part of the cox p51d model. it was laying loose with a fuel tank attached. Looks almost identical to the .049 but with 2 blade plastic prop. no numbers on it. The .049 is installed in the original box and i cant see under the cowling to see the rest of the engine..jim
