Re: Cox Engine of the Month! ENTRY CLOSED
Would a group on engines of the same type be OK?
For example 12 TD 010 engines.

Thomas,
This is cool. I have a babe bee I would like to do this to. Did you just take it on a belt sander untill it was about 50% gone. Looks like you removed the crank but have the drive washer perfect to the case. Did you sacrifice another crank to do this?

And the piston rod has the whole ball on it. That's the coolest Bee ever!Jason_WI wrote:

"Cox Engine of the Month! The cox engine of the month was 49er's idea, unfortunately 49er has left us. For the next 5 days, members may post 1 picture of their or someone else's engine (as long as they say who's it is). After the 5 days are up, 5 (unless there is under 10 posted) pictures will be randomly chosen and another 5 days will be taken to vote on the pictures. Lets give this a try!"

I had a Bee with two broken lugs in the same side and a worn cylinder/piston set. I took it apart and assemblied the backplate, fueltank and CC and grinded it ALLMOST halfway, by doing allmost in half enables it to still hold the crank, needlevalves reed and retainer. The cylinder/piston was even grinded a little less, this way the the piston can still move up and down without falling out. After the piston was grinded, the conrod was turned 180 degrees so the ungrinded half of the top ball is facing out.
The difficult part of doing this is to stop grinding in time!!
Hope this answers your questions

Re: Cox Engine of the Month! ENTRY CLOSED
The 3 cylinder radial does not currently run. I have to add a blower to it to pressurise the crank case.
