Yep, still alive up here. Hept teh missus happy with a pair of earrings and pyjamas. And I also made dinner. Or should I say my fingers did the dialing. A nice heart shaped pizza from a pizza place in the city.

Nope, my missis says no way, no how are you gonna spend good money on some dead flowers and fancy paper card. We get Meat to eat, wine and dine, followed by a bag of bite size Reese Peanut butter cups. Sweets for the Sweet. Hope your day went as well!

Re: Valentines Day
Who invented Valentine's Day anyway? Why choose one day in a year to express yourself to your beloved?
I'm guessing it was the florest, greeting card and chocolates industries etc who came up with a clever marketing strategy.
Your love is shown in who you are, not what you give.

Re: Valentines Day
My wife's a little different to most.
If I bought her flowers she'd berate me for wasting money.
If I bought her a card she'd ask if I got it from the dollar store.
If I bought her chocolates she'd complain that they make her fat.
(So I let her buy the chocolates and then she can't blame me)

Different to most? Mine has returned nice jewelry, jackets, perfume, etc. telling me that I'm spending too much. Rebukes me for buying flowers. I wound up making up cards online to print, least expensive chocolates from the drugstore, etc.
You're not alone!
