Cool build. First time I've seen a Beginner's Ring Master built this way. I like it. Should fly well for the Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon. The way things are going, the RM F-A-T could be the only CL event flown this year....

Neat, quality build, good way to make up for balsa shortages by substituting foam in less critical places.

I wonder if there is a cheap way to put a fuel proof paint on top of a diluted Elmer's glue basecoat without attacking the foam underneath.

I always use epoxy resin, diluted with methanol, for final coat over the balsa, tissue or foam, for fuel proof coat.
Re: Simple Baby Ringmaster build
Interesting. I wonder how a paint job using matte acrylic crafter paint with a skim coat of your epoxy mix would compare weight wise with Monokote?

Good quality finish, you'd never guess it was a composite wing.

As far as I know the dimensions for the Beginner's Ringmaster and the Baby Ringmaster are the same only the Beginner has a flat wing and the Baby a built-up wing. That would make this a "beginners" version, as Mark has mentioned, since it has the flat wing (although it could be argued that it is indeed a built-up wing).

Great, what is the thickness of the balsa used for the fuselage?

Today i have interesting flight.
String in my stooge get loose, and Baby Ringmaster try to run away.
But stepping on the flying line, i catched after few seconds, and continue with flying.

Baby Ringmaster with COX Babe Bee 049 and local airfield stray dogs caused a forced landing.
Re: Simple Baby Ringmaster build
That first video made me laugh. Great catch. The evasive Baby Ringmaster! Reminded me of a child trying to play a game of keep away.
Second video was also funny, plane was running rich, but I have to wonder about the dogs. Did you have a Cevapcici in your pocket?

No "Cevapcici" in my pocket , these dogs are from farm next to the airfield , well feed , always friendly and curious , but sometimes boring , too.
The black one is named "ROSE", Pannonian shepperd dog race , while another is "airfields garbage digger race" , named by modellers flying there.
Rich or lean , i have problems with fine settings , this Babe Bee have tank replaced, with horseshoe from Sure Start , not precise needle like BB Tank have .
Anyway, have more "FUN VIDEOS" shooted , just need to process it.

EDIT: just uploaded wing camera view short video.

Hello pegin964 , thank you for sharing this story.
I really liked the construction of your model and the finish, really beautiful.
The videos are a separate topic, really that the model escapes, takes flight alone and returns to you, it is something incredible, really incredible.
In the video where the dogs appear, it also reminded me of the dogs in our club that more than once they occupy our track, they have gotten used to it and we too to live together haha .
I congratulate you, I liked everything I saw ..
