I'm not a card-player.. but I'd like to learn the game (cribbage) that my Grandfather played with my uncles and step-dad.

Wow Roddie, that's quite a set of card games. Mt favorite of the bunch , would have to be UNO.
Played it to death in the 70's. It's all random chance, and can produce a "s" load of laughs.
TNX for sharing,
Bob

Great memories roddie! Cribbage hey? Lol. It is a big family game here too for everyone but me. I was taught many times, played that evening, then, well, had to relearn again the next time I would play. Honestly, I bet I have only played it maybe 5 times throughout my life. I keep wanting to learn it AND remember, but I have more fun with my 'toy' engines! Very Happy

Uno is a great family favorite for us. Best played in the late evening with the whole family, the more the merrier, after the second 12 pack gets cracked open.   But I don't play anymore if my wife is playing.  She cheats big-time.  Girl can hide some cards.

Another favorite is Mille Bornes.  Coup-fourre is the big card and has been known to start some serious food fights.  Someone yells out "COUP-FOURRE" and potato chips start flying.

Cribbage and backgammon are both a little tame for me.  That may be.because I can't ever win either one.  When they come out, it's my turn to run the record player.
