Flight Video of the World's Smallest Traveling Engine
For those who may not follow the WSTE thread, here is some footage I shot of the engine during it's stay, including some flying action. It has been fun!

Nice video Troy and a great tribute to Rusty too.
How much did you say in the video the all up weight of your T stick was? I have a lil Sharkface waiting for completion for my 010-s too.

Thanks, Troy,
pretty light. The weight of the Roaring 20 on which I put my TeeDee-s is more than 7 oz, and the critter pulls it with real authority.
Anyways, I will complete the Sharkface and see.

Re: Flight Video of the World's Smallest Traveling Engine
Thanks guys! This little engine really gave me a shot in the hobby arm. It came at a good time in my life and lifted the spirits a bit. I was very tired and sleepy, not wanting to get up and make the 20 minute drive to the flying field yesterday morning but I was so glad I did when the sun came up and the little engine finally ran good enough to fly. I ended up simply flying the Tee Stik and the Sharkface once each. Everything went well and I captured it all on camera. I was all alone at the field. Not wanting to push my luck, I packed up and was home before 9am. Though I had originally attempted to fly the engine with a captive audience present, it somehow seemed fitting that I was the only one there when it finally happened.

Re: Flight Video of the World's Smallest Traveling Engine
Good job TeeBee, I think that engine would benefit from several straight castor runs. Looks like a new Piston/Cyl is on the way, but after your video I would’t toss that one just yet.
Thank you for your perseverance and taking the time to fly the engine and get it right.

The old glow plug, cylinder / piston assembly could be placed in the case and
labeled it's start date and decommissioning date. In time there will be a row
of them some yrs. down the road.

God i hope not! That was my one and only spare set.
I do have 2 spare cylinders I can try the piston with to see if any of them have better fit.
Also have an uncut .010 cylinder that's threaded but bore is not finished or ports cut in.
Nice tribute to Rusty at the end. Nice flying as well. Even anemic it pulled the plane around well.

An absolutely outstanding account of the WSTE as well as tribute to Rusty. Thanks sOoOo much for sharing it with us.. and keeping the flame lit!
Re: Flight Video of the World's Smallest Traveling Engine
Thanks a ton, guys! This has been one of the highlights of my year, especially considering all the craziness in the world. I was honored to have this opportunity. The engine will be forwarded on to Jason soon as is. As noted, the compression is down and the performance with it but it will run as you have seen proof of. As for the original glow head, I played with it at the field and it was inconsistently lighting, causing some of my original grief. I tossed it before the suggestions came along to keep it in the case: I did keep the cracked plastic backplate and will leave it there for Jason to keep or throw.
FWIW, I have a couple of NIB .010s that make less compression than the WSTE. I’ll be surprised if one of them runs at all. A pure castor run would sure be worth a try on those as mentioned.
