I still don't have enough
Here's my light bulb stash.
This is what I all have. When I started hoarding light bulbs because they are going to be phased out within the next few years, I made up some inventory sheets that includes fields for (Watt, Light Output, Hours, Brand, Qty In Package, Being Used, Gone). Below I have counted up how many of each wattage I have. I was just checking today to see what bulbs I need more then others so I know what to buy whenever I see them on sale or whatever.
Average Frosted Blubs
100 Watt -- 96 Bulbs
88 Watt (100w-130v) -- 24 Bulbs
75 Watt -- 28 Bulbs
71 Watt -- 8 Bulbs
60 Watt -- 44 Bulbs
54 Watt (60w-130v) -- 24 Bulbs
40 Watt -- 47 Bulbs
All of the bulbs above are actively on the phaseout list, although the list only states "100-75-60-40" they also mean any average bulbs in between "100" and "40". These bulbs will not be used until they are absolutely unavailable in stores!
Clear Bulbs
60 Watt -- 4 Bulbs
54 Watt (60w-130v) -- 10 Bulbs
These were excluded from the phaseout in early 2011, but these will remain on the shelf until they are no longer available as these are bound to be attacked some amount of years after the average bulb ban.
3-Way Bulbs
50-100-150 Watt -- 6 Bulbs
These were also excluded from the phaseout in early 2011, again these will remain on the shelf as 3 way CFLs have recently been produced and are improving which will result in a phaseout of these eventually.
Halogen Bulbs
28 Watt -- 2 Bulbs
The halogen bulbs are not being phased out until a later period, this bulb just happened to make it on my shelf and my inventory list so that is where it is going to stay...
Candelabra Bulbs
60 Watt -- 40 Bulbs
These bulbs were excluded from the phaseout in early 2011, these will stay on the shelf for many years to come or until they are no longer available.
Track Bulbs
40 Watt -- 2 Bulbs
These too were excluded from the phaseout in early 2011, these will stay on the shelf until they are no longer available as CFL and LED track lights improve and become available.
I started to hoard bulbs shortly after they announced the ban of them back in 2007. Since then, I have slowly built this stash up. I often add a few packs here and there. Some people think I have too many bulbs while others say that I have a fraction compared to their stock.
