Re: Eliminator II Manuals
to the forum!
Hopefully someone here can get you a scan.
There is a parts diagram in the 1971 parts catalog if that offers any help: https://www.coxengineforum.com/h24-instruction-sheets#70_parts_cat

Re: Eliminator II Manuals
Quite a complex model in design, manufacture and running for Cox. Maybe why many are still in the box and those that ran probably got destroyed. LOL
OP is MIA, maybe the files can be moved to "instruction sheets".
I wich I would have bought a thousand of the dummy engines for $1

Just got an Eliminator
Hi gang,
Newbie here. Had my first Cox eliminator in 1971, just got another one on eBay. Considerably more expensive than the first one. I see someone was nice enough to share the 2 manuals for this car but if you go to the links today it looks like somebody is trying to send you malware. Is there any way of getting a PDF of those manuals?
I also need a dummy engine. The guy selling chute covers says he will eventually 3D print one but I'm guessing he needs a donor to copy from.
So, every jerk has a story. Here's mine. I got my eliminator when I was 11 years old as a prize for selling a billion packages of Burpee seeds. We meticulously set up the dragline to the millimeter. Fired up the dragster and launched it. It went 20 times faster than we had ever expected it to go, got to the "Y" in the line that was supposed to stop it and it immediately snapped the cord and roared 100 yards down the road where it hit the grass in front of somebody's house. It did a spectacular somersault landing upside down with the engine screaming wide open. The entire gang arrived a few seconds later just as it ran out of fuel, howling in laughter and falling all over ourselves. We simply could not believe how fast that thing moved and how completely dangerous a toy this was. Think of Dan Akroyd on SNL selling a bag of crushed glass. This was way worse.
We launched it 25 times. One of the best and nutty toys I ever had. Oddly enough, I don't remember much more after that. Probably left it someplace stupid and a '68 Town and Country station wagon took it out.
Appreciate any help anyone can throw my way.
Kurt

Re: Eliminator II Manuals
ya the PDF links have aids. I'll see if I can find the original scan files, might have deleted them.
I tried several ways to save the image file from serving.com to my computer, no dice.
If you click the photo it opens a page of links for cut and paste but I guess serving owns them now.
