Tony Flys a "Hun" at the 2017 S.M.A.L.L. Fly-In
Haven't posted a video in a while, so thought I put this one up that I'd just edited this morning.
Hope everyone is having a good week.
----------------------------------------------------
"One of the things about shooting a ton of video footage over the years is that it's easy to happen across moments that you might not have included in some of the edited videos saved on You Tube.
That said, this may have been previously included in S.M.A.L.L. Fly-In videos. If so, please pardon the redundancy.
We tend to associate the S.M.A.L.L. Fly-Ins with lightly loaded, castor slinging classics (with good reason), but there are often rocket-nitro-electric powered monsters carving up the sky with the floaters.
This is a short video of Tony's piloting of an F-100 Super Sabre, built by the late John Morgan, with an electric pusher-prop configuration. I believe the other electric powered plane is a scale Fairey Firefly, but not totally sure. Tony has flown several of John's planes over the years at S.M.A.L.L.
Either way, a few moments from a fantastic summer day with good friends chasing some dreams."
---------------------------------------------------------
Note from Tony:
"This was a tribute flight to honor cherished friend and Vietnam veteran Col. Dave Graben, back in 2017. The F-100 was built by my dear friend and master model builder, John Morgan. Both Dave and John are now having a great time hangar flying in heaven.
Rest in peace, men!"

Wow, I thought, gotta watch this F-100 simulated rail rocket launch, motor in the rear. Why didn't I think of that in my C/L Walt Musciano hollow log F-100.
So stable, so fast. Beautiful flight, beautiful airplane.
I hate it when we lose good people.

Yes...pretty sure of hitting the Summer S.M.A.L.L., though I may have some interfering commitments I got to meet. FOR SURE doing Fall S.M.A.L.L.
Tony's about got the same deal, I think, though he's got a BUNCH more miles to cross than me.
