Cox .010 tank backplate
Recently I've started cleaning and repairing some of my old engines.
I've got a couple .010's and found that they have a few weak spots. The center screw in the back plate pulls through, and the carb body was split on two engines.
Now the carb body's are available in red, and replacement tanks in black, but no red tanks or tank parts.... so far anyway. I did find some listed but they were out of stock, temporarily I hope.
Well, one of my engines had an aluminum back plate. Anyone remember these or where it might have come from? Does anyone still make them?
I bought these in the late 80"s from a collector and maybe the back plate came with one of the engines.
I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out how to do it....!

Do you like this aluminum backplate?

I have tested the tank offering, has good run time. Bit heavy and requires a suitable size firewall.

Just a guess, but it looks more homemade to me with a lathe.
