Hi Scotland421. Regarding the black oil: I've had venturis that screwed
tightly into aluminum valve bodies. I've removed them and found plenty
of swarf that would surely have wound up in the shaft end of the crankcase.
Good source for aluminum in the oil.
Hope you get it sorted.
