Threads size for Tee Dee body Venturi?
Does anyone know what the thread size is for the Tee Dee .049 venturi body?
I have a Venturi body that has a little too much "red" anodizing and screwing in the venturi is a little tight.
Thanks,
sosam117

Sosam, that would be 1/4-32, same size as standard glow plugs.

Re: Threads size for Tee Dee body Venturi?
Hi sosam117,
No, I do not know the thread size of either. Had similar problem and used the tip of my balsa knife to clean up the thread a bit and then used very light oil and slowly back and forth round and round, clean, oil, do again and all came good. Understand this is not the greatest way to do it, and a tap is probably the best, in which as case as you said, what is the thread size? If the thread on the venturi is too deep for the venturi body thread another rough way i have used at times is to get wet and dry paper and just take a little bit off the tops of the Venturi thread. ( I am from Oz and we pride ourselves on fixing things with fence wire)
Good Luck! Im sure someone on CEF will have the exact thread details!

Re: Threads size for Tee Dee body Venturi?
Well Yabby,
I broke down and went to my garage and got me thread measuring tools out.
Reason I asked first is because, outside it's over 90° and the dew point is over 70% (heat index over 105°)
Just like you hot summer a few months ago Yabby.
My side room (shop) is not air conditioned.
Well, the venturi threads measures 1/4-32.
So, thanks for the help.
I think I have a tap and die that that size out in the shop.
Maybe get out there after a few days when the heat subsides a little?
Finish up on next months Cox Engine"s" of the month. (from Sanwa)
