Some advertise some do not. You may never get a true count, but either of those guys mentioned in the header are probably contenders.
Truth be told If I had kept everything that passed through my hands I could have been a contender too. Robert V is up there.
Mudhen, Mark B, crankbndr etc. are big players. I bet nobody is willing to admit to what they truly have.

Ideally, your cylinder index (CI) should be equal to or greater than your age. I think a good number of members here are able to meet that goal.

On Facebook this morning:
Today’s Dan Sitter’s 83rd birthday, Happy Birthday Sir!
I haven’t counted my engines in a while, but certainly my CI is more than 49

That is Cool But i remember this before came up and Ian said his CI was 5000 + cause my jaw dropped out when i seen that ,, If you have storage building with indexed engines in them and Insurance , WELL !Wonder how the ole boy is doing these days ? And yes some people don't advertise too . Heck i have around 20 chainsaws (not all run ) parts but have cylinders .
You remember guess the engines in the jar ? Jason probably has a couple K himself .
Happy Birthday Dan ! isn't he a member her ? Checked NO

DeCafe Eric, Decafe.
Pretty easy, I have most of them out where I can see them. Only some in boxes, but I did miss one box tucked away. Probably 600 total give or take. Only about 30 NIB. Most are restorations. The best kind.
