.049 Testors McCoy - identification assistance
So I bought a lot of "some good, some junk" motors on eBay. see what I can rescue and rehabilitate, and what needs to go
the golden bee it came with is added to my "Now I have THREE of em - take THAT Billy Jo!!!!" collection
I now own, by the way:
- a HUGE collection of starter springs and sure-start spring plates
- quite a few vintage cox wrench tools
- a bunch of 90degree bent lexan plates with a cox logo sticker, that is probably some kind of display stand, but I dont know how to mount the engine without drilling the plastic
this cute little oddball snuck in
I know its Testors McCoy .049, with a self starter assembly, it turns, it pops with compression,
but! I am NOT going down ANOTHER .049 collecting rat-hole.
I'm not even gonna clean it up
but I am curious if anyone knows what it was meant to go with (big white tank)
and? is anyone interested in it? I'd love to trade it for a bunch of Cox .049 Piston/Cylinder sets for all the crankcases I now have....
any education is appreciated.

Yup,it's a Testors/McCoy 049. Used in the Cosmic Wind or Sprite Give-a-way Airplane.
I have a couple in my stash. White, Red and I thinkBlack Orange.
Kim has a video of flying one in his backyard. it's worth a watch....

What does it say on the right side of the engine? I can't read it because of the fuel tubing.
