PBR.. Patrol Boat River
I'd been recently researching the Patrol Torpedo boats of WWII for a possible model subject.. and came upon this unique vessel..

These were originally built by a private company in Bellingham, Washington for service in the Vietnam War. Propulsion was via twin water-jet drives.
Graupner Modellbau used to offer a water-jet drive.. Hmmm..
Harbor Models has a boat kit..

PBR... Patrol boat Riverine
Had an airplane buddy who served in the "Brown Water Navy", as he called it, on a Patrol Boat Riverine in Viet Nam as a twin 50 cal gunner.
He had a bad scar on his arm where a bad guy with an M-16 hit him during a patrol.
My buddy still got to hose him and his comrades with a little rock and roll action from twin M2's.
He made it back and they didn't .
