thanks to Matt & Bernie - some bees
thanks to EX Model Engines and Cox International for feeding my addiction
I ordered bits, I cleaned bits, I assembled bits...
now I have a couple of bees.

"But Charles, no one was buying the super polished ones, what ever are you going to do with ALL those Bees!!!!!"
well... funny you should ask... I found some used "knockoff" Sterling trainers
The Spitfire will be green, and the P51 will be Silver.....

and the U-Control madness re-should start soon!

Charles,
I like your planes. They look like they exactly meet your recent RCGroups post for kits a couple weeks ago (or was that here?).
Can you provide details regarding your knock-offs? Do you know which "cottage-industry cutter" made them? Or did the seller indicate he cut them, but never completed them?
What kind of paint are you using? I'll be very interested to see how the silver holds up. You may want to consider a quick shot of spray poly-urethane as a fuel proofer.
Enjoy the build...I am. Enjoy the flying...I need to.

Re: thanks to Matt & Bernie - some bees
yes, these came from a user on RGGroups...
3 kits, he bought them "a long time ago" and never built them.
I'm bringing them up, they are pretty good kits, not top notch, but I wanted flying slabs, not flying diamonds.
clear is on the menu. I just tried some vintage iron on hinges, will see how they hold up.

Beautiful Charles. Remove the planes and you have a 21st century Picasso.
Green plane is perfect in design. Spitfires rule.
Good luck at the swap meet. Waiting to see the end result.
