dating a babe bee tank question.
While cleaning a .049 babe bee i saw it had text on its tank "thimble drone"
When where these tanks made?
The remainder of the engine does not look to be correct the metal backplate is for the stunt tank version so there is no way to fuel this engine...
The crankcase is the tapered version so that looks to be "period correct"
And it has a no2 cylinder so that is plausable too.
So when was this tank made?

Re: dating a babe bee tank question.
I believe that would be 1959-1969. Even though a #2 is a single bypass Bee cylinder, I believe they were offered with dual bypass examples such as the QZ. This type of cylinder might have been a 6.
