New arrivals
Yeah, I know what your thinking..............is this guy ever going to stop?? Short answer, maybe someday.
But soon, if all the stars align this model airplane stuff is going to come to a screeching halt. When this arrives.
Crispy but original. Top of the line 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE, 13B rotary. I figure two years to bring it back to the gem that it once was.
Bought one new back in 1985. Foolishly sold it to a young lady when we moved to Florida. Pictured with Marks 1986. I kept mine for three years, he kept his for 22 and it never failed.

May I ask, is that a mcoy engine in the plane ?
You ( or anyone else on here ) into Airfix or Revel plastic kits ?
I will ask permission to post on here but I have quite a few plastic non flying unstarted kit I will never make, any interest at all ?

Yes, Hemmings, one of my favorite automotive sites. Not sure about the Wankel though.

Re: New arrivals
Only two years for running AND pretty? Congrats on the acquisition. I always thought Mazda stole the shape from Porsche.
I'm getting squeezed to get the 944 running. I told wifey I'll replace the clutch this winter. But it won't be pretty...

I always thought that Mazda stole the 1986's styling from the 944. Just so close in design.
In 22 years Marks RX-7 never saw the inside of a garage, out in the weather, snow, rain, you name it. Yet it never presented with a problem outside of the occasional dead battery. He did most of the maintenance, but the weather took it's toll on the exterior. When he finally sold it the paint was just a memory IIRC.
Not a deal yet on the SE, holding my breath. But I'm as excited as I have ever been. It's been sitting forever. Probably another locked up like Wen Max or Cox engine. Marvel Mystery oil down the spark plug holes to loosen the Apex seals while I tear the interior and body apart. Nothing gets moved until the oil is changed ..... Fun times-a-coming. My true element.

Re: New arrivals
I have the remnants of a Wen Mac Bonanza but in the opposite colour- green bottom, white top, although the top is missing, so I'm assuming. When I got it it only had the fuse bottom with both wings snapped off (I suspect the seller decided to sacrifice the wings to reduce the shipping), undercarriage, bellcrank & rod as well as a pretty nice Mk3 engine, with original unbroken prop. Bought it for ther engine alone, so not really sure what to do with the rest of it. It would need a pair of balsa wings grafted on and a whole new upper fuselage fabricated.

Re: New arrivals
Graft a new set back on, paint to match.
I've fallen for the little guy. Fit's right in.
Straight, no wing warpage, no cracks, just a really nice dirty little bird. A buy it now sale that had ran for several cycles. Seller had over 2000 itmes for sale, made an offer that was accepted. These are pretty desirable, it's a wonder that it lasted as long as it did.
Oh yes, more new arrivals. Mark went flea market this morning. Thimble Drome catalog on the right is really special.

Thanks Chancey, The Sandblaster was five bucks, no shipping, no sales tax. The PT-19 was $125 with the Thimble Drome catalog which Mark says is quite unique. PT-19 is like new. Too bad it's not one of the off-colors, egg in my beer. My two PT-19's (or is it one, I think I sent one to Ron Cribbs) are pretty beat up. This one will probably be put away.
