New Uploads: 1982 and 1990 Cox Catalogs, and Hobbico-Cox Super Power Fuel Flyer
Thanks to Dennis (ama353) who sent me a large collection of manuals, catalogs, and other documents awhile back (in which I'm still sorting through), added this week are Cox yearly product catalogs from 1982 and 1990.
Also added is a "press release" flyer for the first version of the re-release of Cox Super Power Fuel by Hobbico in 2013. I stumbled across this while searching through my HDDs this past weekend. You can read more about this fuel here: https://www.coxengineforum.com/t7143-cox-super-power-fuel#89717
You can find each of these on the Instruction Sheets page.
If you have manuals, decal/sticker sheets, parts forms, or other documents for engines, models or other products from Cox or other manufacturers, we'd be happy to add them to the database. You can contact me by PM or email (address shown on the Instruction Sheets page). Good quality scans, photos, or physical documents by mail accepted!
Cox Fuel
I have a bottle of Cox Superpower Fuel. It was manufactured for the Estes-Cox corporation and is dated 2013. Is this the fuel that lacks castor oil?

There was discussion about it here around that time. Basically, O'Donnell, maker of the fuel used their standard RC formula for the modern ABC/ABN Schneurles, 2% Castor and 16% Synth. Bernie of Cox International contacted Hobbico (Tower Hobbies) that this was unacceptable for our little engines. Shortly after, they corrected their mistake, reformulated and sold the correct stuff with 10% Castor and 10% Synth under the Cox Fuel label.bsadonkill wrote:I have a bottle of Cox Superpower Fuel. August 4, 2014, I brought up their formulation in following relevant discussions:

Bernie's actions:

Finally, Hobbico makes correction. You can follow the rest of the discussion there.

They may have updated it, but that was after 2013. Nice to know after I used half of it.

The new fuel blend is in production and will be shipping to our Champaign warehouse by the end of the month. The west coast warehouse (Reno) will receive it about 1-2 weeks later. Kim has already received the fuel for the contest.
I've attached a photo so you can see the changes we made to easily identify the "new" from the "old".
Please note:
Old (on left):
small cap
horizontal flute
tapered neck
tall label
New (on right):
large cap
vertical flute
straight neck
shorter label
contents sticker
Stock numbers:
25% - COXP1005 (same as previous number)
35% - COXP1010 (new number)
The Cox Fuel website still shows the older bottle and product info. It will be updated soon.

That's great to know and I will keep it in mind when I buy fuel. I bought a quart from Fitz fuels, so it will be a while before I need more. I don't control line, so I only use about 20-30 seconds of fuel at a time. But I will consider you as a source in the future.

The Cox Super Power Fuel is no longer in production (that I know of), ever since Hobbico went under in 2018.
