Plans for the Tissan Cricket?
I am familiar with the Tissan Haifa Banana RC plane, mainly through Bernie selling them a while back. I just learned today that Tissan also sold a CL kit called the Cricket. Does anyone have plans? An internet search only showed a RCG thread (here) on a Cricket built a few years ago. The thread had a picture of the plans, but the picture was taken at an angle. I could probably build a plane from that picture, but I'd prefer an accurate plan to build off of if possible.

Re: Plans for the Tissan Cricket?
Okay, some digging on a Tissan Banana webpage found this picture. It' almost straight down, so I can work from them. However, I do not know the correct wingspan. Can anyone read this plan and tell me what the wingspan is?

Re: Plans for the Tissan Cricket?
I've got a set...can you give me some time to digitize? Or I can simply mark up the main dimensions and call them out. This may take a few days.

Re: Plans for the Tissan Cricket?
Jim,
No big hurry. I feel like I need something else for S.M.A.L.L., and a Tissan Cricket would probably be something that no one else there would have. I'll PM you my email address.

I've built a number of them over the years and still have a NIB kit, also have a number of blueprints laying around.

Based on the drawing the wingspan is 22 - 11/16"

Super,
Thanks for the information. I should be able to knock one out real quick. I'm a Monokote guy, since I can't do dope in my house.

I'm still looking. I know I have this someplace...and feel like I saw it a few months back. I'll admit this is prompting a hobby closet clean-up.

Re: Plans for the Tissan Cricket?
I think this plane looks a lot like a Stuntman 23 , it has the wing and elevator /stabilizer as it does. How does the plane fly or did I miss that ?

Re: Plans for the Tissan Cricket?
Yes...I found the copy provided to me by Super several years back!
The prop is right at 5-7/8". WS is 22-3/4", wing root is 5-7/8", stab/elevator hinge line is 9-3/4", stab root is 1-5/16", and levator "root" is 1-3/8".
More to follow later.

Re: Plans for the Tissan Cricket?
Familial Mark,
Enjoy your time together. I edited what I said earlier because I "handled it" a little while ago. The time stamp doesn't reflect the action.
Sorry it took so long...now where is the recent Medallion .09/.15 NVA thread. I think that was Kim. That is on the books for tomorrow am. More gets done at home sitting around sick than when trying to fit "stuff" around work. I can't wait to retire. Maybe I should get sick more often.
