Anyone got a Cox Hydroblaster?
Hi guys,
This one is way off target. For some unknown reason I'm jonesing for several pictures of a Cox Hydroblaster. We have one thread here (that I've found so far) showing some good shots. Now I want some measurements.
The end goal is to create a reasonable facsimile of an outrigger to use up a radio and some fuel...without looking like a long boat Puddle Jumper or Lil Swamp Buggy.
Even decent plans of an outrigger-style 1/2A boat would fix me up well enough.
I know...just another pipe dream.

Jim, Aerofred has boat plans. I did a search on "hydro" and this link has the results. You may find something to your liking there in the form of plans and articles.

E-Bay photo.
Nice, I didn't realize Cox made an air powered racing boat. This one has seen some use, but appears to be complete, $150 US + $25 shipping from Iowa (shipping depends on distance to destination) + local tax.
I am thinking that Jim may be considering his budget costs, $200 maybe more coin than he is willing to part with, no?

Well that's pretty neat, a Prop Rod that floats.

Re: Anyone got a Cox Hydroblaster?
As RSVBob points out, yes a floating 'Blaster!
And as George pointed out, AeroFred has.this:
https://aerofred.com/details.php?image_id=93494&mode=search#google_vignette
And CMulder (the holder of the one in the thread here) has reached out with an offer to assist.
The one I linked to above may be about 90% of the Cox unit. I'm thinking build one and stick an engine pod on it (think motor-glider pylon).
I have no idea where this fixation came from.
Thanks guys. I'll keep y'all in the loop.
CMulder, thanks for reaching out.
