Make Your Own Gasket Paper
You need a photocopy paper, silicone oil, plastic container or an old plate and scissors. Silicone oil can be find at art supply stores.
Paper must be a little thicker than ordinary copy paper, must be a little heavy paper. Cut the paper to get smaller pieces. Place papers in plate and pour silicone oil. Let the paper sheets totally impregnated with silicone oil. Take the papers and hang them with pegs to dry. Don't place papers on an absorbing surface while drying. That's all.
I made a paper gasket for Enya .09 engine which gifted by Bob (rsv1cox).

Re: Make Your Own Gasket Paper
That’s a good tip Levent,…. I’ve made paper gaskets using brown kraft paper but used castor oil to soak them in…. I’m sure silicone oil allows a better penetration into the the paper fibers….I’ll have to add silicone oil to my Cox related liquids inventory

Re: Make Your Own Gasket Paper
I always use nautical chart or sea chart. They're made of thick paper and are very strong. After spending 10 years at sea, I have a reasonable stock. We made gaskets with it in the engine room and I also use it with an engine overhaul.
