An Evening Flight of my 2-Meter Bird of Time back in 2017
While going through some old drives, I found video of a series of flights I'd made with my little Bird of Time sailplane back on July 8th, 2017. It's some pretty nice footage, so I loaded it up for my channel.
Packing a GoPro on its wingtip, the glider makes a sunset trip, powered by a Cox Tee Dee .049 on a pylon, with fuel measured to give it about a two minute run.
The video is a full flight, and is mostly unedited, with just a few captions added to help explain some of the moments to non-flyers.

Beautiful evening flight!! …Timing with the light was perfect….There’s something to be said for simple gliding flight… Nice

Thanks for the video Kim. Nice to see some flying and a face to go with it. Do you still fly the old radios or do you have the new 2.4 GHz stuff? The ground hog said early spring, I hope so for some good flying weather. I miss all that nice green grass and trees

Thank you Mike!
I'm still running 72 on some of my stuff, but am gradually switching over to 2.4GHz, buying a receiver now and then. The B.o.T. is next in line for a conversion, which will be a bit more involved than some others, as its pod and tail feathers need some rework.
