Fun Times Keeping Busy With Lead.....
So I have not been active for a while now again. But It is not just here, but in general. Got rid of most of my flying things now due to regulations and the BS here now as mentioned before. Keeping a couple just because of sentiment. As well, been selling a few engines sporadically also, another something I said I would never do again as I did the same thing years ago. But just to be clear, any engines leaving are .40 and above, as I will definately be keeping those.
But as for my time lately. The weather has been huge rollercoaster here for a long time now. So I dusted off some old stuff and started to make some fishing weights of various types to both keep and sell some, and also some jigs to do the same. Lastly, I had also been casting some .50 cal conicals for muzzleloading. Just waiting on some more supplies now and will be doing some more casting in the near future. No, I do not go through that much stuff, but it keeps me busy, out of trouble, and a way to escape 'the warden'!

Sometimes Chancy you have to sell off some of the old stuff to make way for the new. Blackpowder adventures. Fun times.

I get it New, I got rid of most of my airplane stuff at one time to make room to build guitars for a few years…Black powder is fun and pretty cost effective…. Only drawback is you have to let the smoke clear to see if you hit the target or not LOL!!!

Re: Fun Times Keeping Busy With Lead.....
when I moved to commiefornia in 2000, I needed to discharge my revolver.
in Texas, I used to keep a black powder revolver in the glovebox of my truck, as a 'shenanigan deterrent'
looks formidable
legal to carry
giant cloud of smoke
will set your target aflame if enough powder chases the ball.
and I lived on a ranch, so a few rounds of target practice every month kept the powder and primers fresh, me in shape, etc.
however, they don't like you to be armed out here on the left coast.
and there was nowhere convenient for practice.
there is a county run range, but its a drive from the house.
so I called a fancy indoor place, to make sure they would let me shoot.
"we have fan driven ventilation, it will be fine"
first shot, dead on target, but the suction fan is at one side of the line, so everyone between me and the fan? was amazed at the cloud that rolled across.
second shot, dead on target, again, big cloud
Rangemaster asked if I was done, I told him i had 3 more. they moved me to end of line, right by the fan intake
3 QUICK shots, all on target - and they told me if I packed up and left, there would be no fee.
but if I re-loaded, they would charge me double for an hour's range time.
Powder is fun! 1.5 years till I move out to the ranch in Colorado, and I will make big clouds of smoke, and toss large balls of lead downrange
good luck selling off motors and such.... better luck shooting!
