CG Again!!??
Should I CG my JR.Satan before the top monokote is applied? I can put my Tail Assembly on temporarily and mount the engine to check the CG..Then I could add weight appropriately to where it is needed if at all...Whats your thoughts on this guys?? I'm trying to keep it crisp & clean...I do not want to add weight to the outside of this plane..this is the point of this procedure. Any in put is much appreciated!

Re: CG Again!!??
I don't CG until the project is RTF, but with a empty fuel tank, because I want it to behave when it runs out of fuel and as I land.
FWIW.
If you decide to change engines and the new engine has a bigger tank or? it will change your CG and you will have to adjust anyways,,But I do understand your concerns.

Check and adjust the CG on a model when it completely ready to go, apart from an empty fuel tank, if you try to set the CG at any time other than this it WILL change as you complete the build.

start with the CG exactly as shown on the plan, the model should hang level like this.

'Tis true! What you CAN do is build in a Ballast Box in the underside of the tail and wingtip that will let you adjust the CG. You can use a small Monokote patch to close it up, and peel it back if you need to adjust the CG. I use fine lead shot, globbed together with CA.

Over here because of loony EEC regs the 'old fashioned' lead weights for balancing wheels have been banned.
However....
The good news is the new non lead ones have V handy self adhesive backing and can be affixed underneath stabs,
noses etc without really being 'visable'.
Make friends with your local rubber Monkey and grab a box of them.
