Goldberg Hi-Thrust Viking/ TD .049

Built model lates 80's and we lost our field to a golf course in So. Cal. Done in tissue with old school TD .049. Tested it out back then and put away. Today took it out and flew it at local field and it flys great. Tissue has held up fine and not even a tear. I have eight TD .049's/.051 that over the years took best of what came to me at collectors etc. This one was picked Small Cox Logo

at random and runs very strong. 25% nitro/ all castor fuel. Very happy indeed, model was almost perfect in flight.

Brovo thats it. Mine has TD mount and its upright. Yellow tail/ wings, tips are red tissue. Body was done in red tissue but has faded badly. Even today Hi Thrust Viking is awesome looking bird. They made a bigger FAI Viking also. Had the kit but sold it. Recently bought a Kiwi A sized FF model and have an extra nice K&B .15 Greenhead for it. Tatone DT timer/ Tatone tick off for engines. Can we say Nostalgia FF ......> Amen !! cheers
