Here you can post all those non-Cox engines. Lets hear all about your Norvels, OK Cubs, K&Bs, OS Engines, "Pipe Bombs" and any other engine of any size.

Now we don't have to hang our head in shame, we can talk openly about other engines.

Re: The Brand New Other Engines Section!
It has Rogers on the backplate, and 29 on the side of the case. You can see that the case splits vertically, and is secured with screws. Partly pictured is a finned tank, and a long venturi, or exhaust pipe. It's threads fit into the rear of the engine, and it might support the tank, also.
Oh, technically it splits horizontally, but lifts off vertically.

Re: The Brand New Other Engines Section!
The Rogers engine is a slag engine. This just means the piston rides in the case itself with no liner. You can pretty much determine the life expectancy of one. The engine you show was manufactured 1946-47. There were a few others. The Thor, Buzz, Genie and one more that doesn't come to mind. All of them basically the same case with some changes in the fuel intake. Some had a venturi on the front. Ken

Re: The Brand New Other Engines Section!
Well, there ya go! Mine has a short venturi on the front, and I was thinking that's how the tank installed. However, I might have parts to 2 different engines, as mine is sans needle on the rear, and it has a left-side exhaust. I do have one of the old Champion glow plugs, too. I have a couple of little Thunder Head engines, too. They're neat looking, with exhaust openings on the left and right.
