Yes. The clip is small, easy to lose. Work over a bowl or rag.

Just remember to note the position of the spray hole on the spray bar and replace it with the hole pointed in the same direction.

I've read straight down into the venturi. Then I read for better performance toward the front one notch. As there are three in the bottom. My eyes are not what the use to be. Thought I saw a clip on the fuel nozzle side. Thank you for the responses.

If the hole in the spray bar is not visible (pointing into the intake) it should run.
If you don't have a means of putting a vacuum on the intake and measuring the draw through the bar as you adjust the argument is moot. There is a very small window of better than good draw.
In other words feel free to point the hole where you want as long as you cannot see it.

The spray hole position has been the subject of debate since the first spray hole was borne into the universe.

I flipped one of mine last year and I paid no attention to the orientation of the holes. Ran great, maybe I should go take a look

Getting that "C" clip off is a lot easier than getting it back on. I renamed it "D"ang clip and called it by name a few times. Well, I did think I lost it, then I found it on the floor. I did get her done. Thanks for the replies.

It's a good idea to work inside a sandwich bag, so flying pieces are contained.
